At Accel Music Studios, we are proud to offer you a well-educated and enthusiastic team of music teachers. All of our teachers are currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree or higher. It is very important to choose a teacher that is well qualified, as music education is not standardized in Canada. Our teachers are a great match for all of our students, which is key for a student's healthy development and learning in music. David Santry
Piano, Flute and Theory Instructor, Choir Director, Professional Musician.
As a founder of Accel Music Studios, David is proud to serve the musical community of Ottawa where he was born and raised. Music has always been his passion since the age of 7 where he was classically trained with
the Royal Conservatory of Music. He completed his Bachelors of Music with a specialization in piano
pedagogy at the University of Ottawa in 2008. With over 18 years of teaching experience, David strives to be versitile in his approach to teaching students of all ages. Performance and competition have always been David's main goals and he
stresses those musical attributes as a music teacher. Although his main focus is in classical music, David believes it essential to study other genres as well, such as contemporary, rag and jazz. He has been privileged to study under the musical guidance of Claudia Cashin-Mack, Colin Mack, Jean-Paul Sevilla, Andrew Tunis and Susan Telner.

Danielle Xie
Piano and Theory instructor
Music has always been a main part of Danielle's life. She began her formal music journey at the age of two, singing and dancing at her Kodaly music classes. This was soon followed by piano and theory studies, and later expanding the experience to perform in competitions and formal exams through the Canadian Conservatory. Danielle then began playing the flute at Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts in London, Ontario. Seeking further challenges at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, Danielle began playing saxophone and trumpet, which gave her the opportunity to perform in concert band, jazz band, and the high school musical pit band. Sarah is extremely passionate about music education, as she believes there are many lifelong benefits from studying music. She received a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Western Ontario as well as a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University. Danielle structures her lessons based on the needs of each student. She focuses on the individual and guides them along the path of music, with the goals to enrich overall development and enhance general well being.

Olga Safarov
Piano, Theory and composition instructor.
Olga has been teaching music for more than 14 years with great passion and love for her work. She obtained her B.Ed. from Herzen State Pedagogical University in Saint-Petersburg (one of Russia's most highly regarded universities in the field of education). She also holds a post-secondary diploma in music pedagogy from St. Petersburg's Mussorgsky College of Music and Karl Orff certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
In her work with students, Olga chooses an individual training program aimed at achieving the specific goals outlined by the student. She prepares students for RCM exams, teaches music theory and improvisation, with emphasis on holistic music education and development of the creative potential of students. Olga's students successfully continue their studies at various international music institutes, win international competitions, and, perhaps most importantly, achieve a thorough understanding and deep perception of music.

Emily Wallace
Piano, Voice and Violin Instructor
Emily has been performing and training in music since she was two years old. She began violin lessons at the age of five and continued her training for another 12 years. Emily believes that music is a therapeutic art form and aims to equip her students with the skills and abilities they need to follow their passion. Emily is the recipient of multiple awards from Conservatory Canada, she specializes in classical, folk, and fiddle music, and has played for both the Kanata and Parkdale Symphony Orchestras.

She began studying piano at the age of nine years old, followed by trumpet and violin at age thirteen. Chantal graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music from Laurentian University and recently completed a Master of Arts degree in Musicology at the University of Ottawa this past April. Throughout University, Chantal was involved in many ensembles, including the Sudbury Symphony and Northern Brass Choir. After graduating Laurentian University, she founded and conducted the Manitoulin RCSCC Sea Cadet Band on Manitoulin Island. Chantal is currently involved in the local music scene on various levels, as she specializes in wedding entertainment services (DJing and live instrumental music).

Piano and Theory Instructor
Born in China, Mimi moved to Canada at the age of four and has been playing piano ever since. Although she initially found the preparation for piano examinations very rigorous, she came to understand the significance of goal setting and perfectionism that the instrument instills. Mimi believes that passion in music comes from a strong foundation in musical theory and technique and hopes to share this appreciation for music with her students. When it comes to learning piano, she stresses the importance of practice and dedication which enriches the learning experience and builds commitment longterm. Mimi is fluent in English, French, and Chinese (Mandarin) and has completed the Royal Conservatory of Music studies up to level 9, first class honours with distinction. She is currently studying a Bachelor's of commerce at the University of Ottawa but still finds time to enjoy her passion for Music.

Guitar and Voice Instructor

Throughout the years, he has been honing his skills writing music and playing in various bands involving both covers and originals. Specializing in classic rock, alternative, and blues, Mattie stresses the fundamentals and rudimentary exercises, as well as learning songs to sharpen both guitar skills and vocal chops.

Eduardo has been a performing musician since 1978. He attended to Humber College of Applied Arts and he graduated in 1984 with a major in composition and arranging. As a performing musician Eduardo has the opportunity to play various styles and venues, from local bars and dining rooms to Nassey Hall in Toronto and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington. Over the years Eduardo has developed a large repertoire of styles, bringing music reading and stylistic knowledge together. In addition to this Eduardo plays contemporary piano, guitar, bass and drums allowing him to have an excellent over all musicianship. Last but definitely not least Eduardo is well acquainted with the workings of music theory, melodically harmonically and rhythmically, allowing him to extrapolate each portion of the music to explain how they work together.
